About the site and proposals

The site largely dates back to the nineteenth century, with some parts believed to have been built earlier. It has a rich local history, having once housed a brewery. The existing building is currently vacant, having most recently been used as offices.

Working with north London–based architectural practice Shorten, our ambition is to deliver a high-quality, well-managed hotel that complements the area’s role as a major leisure and cultural destination.

We are also committed to ensuring the scheme brings benefits beyond the site boundary, including local training and recruitment programmes to help people unlock their potential and develop careers in hospitality.

Our Vision

Our proposals would deliver a modern and accessibly priced hotel to meet growing visitor demand in the area.

Benefits of the proposals include:

Complementing King’s Cross and the borough of Camden’s world-renowned tourist attractions, through the provision of 126 guest rooms.

Supporting local businesses through increased visitor spending.

Creating new jobs and training opportunities for local people.

Enhancing King’s Cross Road with an active and welcoming ground-floor use.

Embedding sustainability measures, including energy efficiency, biodiversity enhancements and sustainable travel options.
